DON'T buy gear without speaking to me first! It will save you $LOT
ALL technical equipment is available to you for free for the course. Let me say that in another way; if you need a piece of equipment such as a regulator, wing, sidemount, light, computer etc then I have it for you for no cost, that is there is no charge for you to use it/ them.
BUT should you be burning to buy gear- please talk to me first. Equipment can be a significant expense for new divers, especially a set of double cylinders which can be as much as $1000 for cylinders, bands and manifold contact me.
Equipment is NOT the key to advanced diving, however the gear and its configuration are important components of successful technical diving. Drop me an email for a list of the equipment required for technical diving at its various levels- you will be pleasantly surprised that you dont have to rush into a dive store to buy their whole selection! Almost all of your recreational scuba equipment can be used at the Foundations Level and much of it can be used later on too, although some of it will be less useful. Talk to Paul about suitable gear choices. The courses are flexible so bring what you have, what you usually use, and what you like- you will be asked to defend your choices to illustrate the philosophy of the thinking tech diver.
Note that the technical gear for the courses is included for you of you wish.
BEFORE you make any gear changes or purchases, do take the time to discuss with Paul whether such actions would be necessary and if so, what might be the best and most cost effective solution.
Attempting to perform technical diving without proper training and equipment may result in serious injury or death.
