Gear Setup and Configuration
The gear configuration below is one typically used by technical divers, although it is not used by all technical divers. Regional variations are commonplace and are usually minor catering to the needs of the local diving environments. But all good technical diving gear configurations share these common traits: simple, robust, and logical.
Note the gear configuration presented is merely one common version and illustrates only some of the more common equipment elements and is by no means comprehensive. It is intended as a primer prior to proper training.
Attempting to perform technical diving without proper training and equipment may result in serious injury or death. Reading about it from the multitude of sources on the internet (including this one) is no substitute for training- think about that.
Train Right!
IF you must.....
Gear Setup- the book
Too many websites just taking it for their own use I am afraid- a bit of honesty goes a long way. You know who you are.

Sidemount Discussion
Sidemount discussion- my rigs include the Armadillo, Dragon and the Nomad. I also like the Hollis rig and wil be trying out other offerings as they come to market. Thus far? Armadillo for cave, Nomad for open water.
