Take a stainless steel steak knife

Fold over and sew- note that if the webbing is soft seatbelt type webbing then a household sewing machine can be successfully used.

and cut the end off (a hacksaw will sufice).  Smooth the end, smooth some of the blade's teeth if appropriate

Take some webbing straps- cutoffs or bought, about 14"

Finished product- note the top loop is sufficient to accommodate standard 2" harness webbing.
